Ronnie T. Fields, 62, of Walterboro, South Carolina was born on February 7, 1960, to the late Martha B. Fields and King Fields in Colleton County. He entered into his eternal rest on April 4, 2024, after a brief illness.
Ronnie, better known to his family as “Ron Don,” was educated in the Colleton County Public School System. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. From an early age, he exhibited a passion for building. His journey as a craftsman began after joining Steedley Monument Company. Ronnie’s skilled hands shaped countless structures, leaving a lasting legacy across our region.
On any given NFL football Sunday, Ronnie was cheering for the Pittsburg Steelers – (Let’s Go Cowboys, LOL).
He was preceded in death by the eldest brother, John A. Fields.
Ronnie loved his family and friends. He left to cherish his memory a multitude of loving relatives and friends.
Remembered fondly by his “companion” of 30 years, Shirley Bodison. They were inseparable and loved each other deeply.
The Fields’s Family extends their deepest gratitude to Shirley Bodison, who tirelessly cared for Ronnie during his illness until his death. Her unwavering, selflessness, support, dedication, and compassion made a world of difference. Thank you for being there and taking great care of our brother. We love you!
