Haveline Linder Obituary

Mrs. Haveline Stephens Linder, age 75, daughter of the late Henry and Elizabeth Drain Stephens was born October 1, 1944 in Smoaks, South Carolina.  On Wednesday, October 23, 2019, after an extended illness, she peacefully entered into eternal rest at Roper Hospital in Charleston, South Carolina.  Home-Going Service will be held Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at 12:00 noon at Lovely Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 408 Augusta Hwy., Smoaks, South Carolina.  Reverend Floyd W. White, Pastor and Eulogist.  Interment, Old Miss Cemetery, Smoaks, South Carolina.  A Public viewing will be Monday, October 28, 2019 at the Stephens-Maree-Tracy Funeral Home Chapel of Serenity from 4:00 p.m. -7:00 p.m. 

 Haveline was educated in the public-school system of Colleton County.  She was a born-again believer, and a faithful member of Lovely Hill Missionary Baptist Church (continued to attend even while her health was declining).  She was a member of Choir No. 2 until the choirs was combined.  

After more than forty years of service, as an inspector, she retired from Smoaks Manufacturer (formerly Youngs wear) of Smoaks, SC.

She loved beautiful clothes and her hair always styled at its best.

She was united in Holy Matrimony to Mr. Julius Conney Linder in August of 1960 and this union was blessed with five beautiful children.  She was preceded in death by her siblings; Christine Kelly, Patricia Stephens, Diana Stephens, Julius Stephens, William Henry Stephens, Lizzy Lou George, Reatha Bell Davis, great-granddaughter, Lailah Edwards, George Goodwin (special friend) and Roosevelt Williams.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Ms. Pauline Risher, Smoaks, SC, Ms. Shirlene Linder, Smoaks, SC, Mr. Julius Linder, Orangeburg, SC, Mr. Jackie (Teon) Linder, Smoaks, SC, Mr. Conney Anthony Linder, Smoaks, SC, Ms. Sharon Linder (granddaughter who was reared in her home), Charlotte, NC; nineteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren, siblings; Mrs. Louretta (Kenneth) Johnson, Mrs. Eartha Lee (Oscar) Chisolm, Ms. Jennett Mosley, Ms. Juanita Williams, Ms. Neatha Mae Stephens, Mr. Leon (Adlene) Stephens, Mr. Edward (Vonetta) Stephens; one aunt, Mrs. Nancy Milton; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Ms. Patricia G. Stephens, Mrs. Ruthie M. (J.B.) Jenkins, Ms. Rebecca Simmons, Ms. Luvenia Hodges, Ms. Hattie R. Chisolm, Mr. Lonzo (Robercine) Linder, Mr. James (Apostle Clemustine) Linder, Ms. Luella Linder,  Mr. Joseph Chisolm; special family and friends, Ms. Henry Renee Kinloch, Ms. Theresa Smalls, Mr. Steve White, Ms. Gloria Drain, Mr. Joseph Lee Drain, Ms. Sabrina Rickenbacker, Ms. Denise Linder, Ms. Sylvia Simmons, Mrs. Lesile Jones, Ms. Brenda Davis,  Mr. Vernon Davis,  Ms. Shanisha Murray, Mr. Jimmy Crockett, Ms. Mary H. Breland, Ms. Sharee Washington, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
