Mrs. Ellean (Hiers) Bryant

Mrs. Ellean Hiers Bryant, daughter of the late Edward Hiers and the late Rosella Brown Hiers was born December 24, 1928 in Branchville, South Carolina. She peaceably passed away around three o’clock in the morning, Monday, April 22, 2019 at her home in Branchville, South Carolina.  Home-Going Celebration will be held Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 12:00 noon at Lovely Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 408 Augusta Hwy., Smoaks, South Carolina.  Reverend Floyd W. White Pastor and Eulogist.  Interment, Old Miss Cemetery.  A public viewing will be held Friday, April 26, 2019 at the S-M-T Chapel of Serenity from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.  

Ellean was educated in the public schools of Colleton county.  At an early age she became a member of Lovely Hill Baptist Church and confessed Christ as her Personal Savior.  She was a dedicated member and served faithfully on Choir No. 2 and the Mass Choir. 

Mrs. Bryant was employed by Smoaks Manufacturer (formerly Youngwear) for more than ten years and Ehrhardt Manufacturer.  As a result of her generous spirit and pleasant personality, she was loved by many.  Her Christian life was exemplified in her love for her children and church family, young and older.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, watching television, reading the bible, listening to gospel music, attending church services and singing.

She was united in Holy Matrimony to Mr. Walce Bryant, Jr. and to this union eight children were born.   

She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, Alfred, and two brothers Edward Hiers and Joe (Tank) Hiers.

Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children, Mr. Larry Bryant, Branchville, SC, Ms. Diane Glover, Fredericksburg, VA, Ms. Sylvia Jones, Branchville, SC, Ms. Brenda Bryant, Long Island, NY, Mrs. Dave Ann (Hubert) Johnson, Riverhead, NY, Mrs. Zilla (Dexter) Miller, Fredericksburg, VA, Ms. Joyce Bryant, Islip, NY, Mrs. Shellie Risher, Long Island, NY, Mrs. Rosa Lee Gainey, Long Island, NY, Kim (Rudolph) Allen, Walterboro, SC;her grandchildren, Sebrina Jones, Sarease Miller,Tarsha Glover, Donell Glover, Kendrae Hiers, Faith Allen, Denzel L. Bryant, Demetri L. Bryant, Tanisha Combs, her great-grandchildren, Tyanna Hodge, Tyrek Glover, Sanaya Lalin, her sister-in-law, Mrs. Joann Bryant Drain, her brother-in-law, Mr. Buck Bryant, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
