Alyssa Farmer Obituary

Alyssa Tremaine Farmer was born to her devoted parents Joe Sanders and Hermina Farmer on May 25, 1984. She entered into eternal rest on December 1, 2021, at the age of 37. She was profoundly known as “Lei” to family, friends, and several others.

Her education began in Walterboro, South Carolina. She obtained her High School Diploma from Cornerstone Christian Correspondence School in 2002.

Alyssa’s Christian walk started with her grandmother, Emma Farmer, at Rock of Ages CME Church. She later became a member of Power of Faith Deliverance Ministry. Alyssa rededicated her life to Christ on November 30, 2021. She was a loving mother, friend, and a strong believer in Christ. To know Alyssa was to love Alyssa. She was the life of the party and was guaranteed to make you laugh. She always left with “I love you.”

At an early age, Alyssa pursued a passion for cosmetics. Later in life, she gained an interest in cooking, which led her to host several holiday dinners and cookouts, that always included seafood, specifically crabs.

Alyssa was raised in the home with her cousins, Kellie Shelton, Justin Farmer, Natasha Farmer, Sonya Grant, Danielle Mele, and Stanley Morrison, Jr. who were more like her siblings. They all shared a special bond and were taught to stick by one another no matter what.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Minister Emma Farmer, Herman Farmer, Corrie-Bell, and Malachai Sanders; one brother, Troy Mitchell; one niece, Adriana Farmer; cousin, Justin Farmer; three  aunts, Louise, Kristina and  Pauline Sanders; five  uncles, Malachai Jr., Willie Jack, Adolph, Elliot Sanders and Wesley Youmans.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her three children, Jewel Fishburne, Deryl Frasier, and Emi Frasier; loving and devoted parents, Hermina Farmer of Walterboro, South Carolina and Joe Sanders (Blytha Mae) of Ruffin, South Carolina; doting siblings, Joe Sanders, Jr. of Ruffin, South Carolina,  Bianca Sanders, Zenia Sanders and JoTega Sanders; her admiring grand aunts, Ruby Jones, Pastor Nancy Goff (Samuel), and Patricia Bassett all of Walterboro, South Carolina; protective aunts and uncles, Howard Farmer (Gloria), of  Pasadena, California, Eva Farmer (Rose) of Middletown, Delaware, Colanthia Farmer of Columbia, South Carolina, Terri Farmer of Walterboro, South Carolina, Marshall Sanders (Gloria) of Ruffin, South Carolina, Dorothy Youmans of Ruffin, South Carolina, Randolph Sanders  of Ruffin, South Carolina, Anabelle Williams (Joseph) of Yemassee, South Carolina, John Sanders (Loutrica),  Ernest Lee Sanders (Ruby),  Annie B.
