Amos Helton

Amos Helton was born on September 24, 1960, to the late Solomon Helton and Rumell Breland Waldhour. He was called to rest on April 1, 2025, at the Colleton Medical Center of Walterboro, South Carolina.

He was educated in the public schools of  Colleton County and graduated from Colleton High School. He resided in Walterboro, South Carolina, where he lived until God called him home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Solomon Helton and Rumell Breland Waldhour; one sister, Hattie Helton; one brother, Solomon Helton, Jr.

Amos was a good caregiver  to his stepmother Bertha Helton.

He leaves to cherish his memories two sisters Sarah Dyer of Springfield, Massachusetts and Pat Morris of Walterboro, South Carolina; three brothers, Kenneth (Essie) Waldhour of Walterboro, South Carolina, Charles Combs of Walterboro, South Carolina and Leonard (Romona) Helton of Summerville, South Carolina; three aunts, Mary Walker of Hampton, South Carolina, Betty Johnson of Hampton, South Carolina, and Loretta B. Beckett of Estill, South Carolina; one Special great nephew, Antwan “Tiger” Fredrick of Florence, South Carolina and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
