Avery Lenwood Snead

Avery Lenwood Snead, devoted Father, Brother, and Friend, son of Martin Lenwood Snead and Cassandra Washington Finn was born on February 19, 1988, in Charleston, South Carolina. He entered into eternal rest on August 8, 2024.

Avery was educated in the Orangeburg County School System and is a graduate of the class of 2006. After high school, he received his Barber license, and he successfully ran “Prolific Precisionz”.

Avery was known as a cool, laid back and hard-working man. He enjoyed spending time with his family and providing for his children. He was recognized as being a “Master Barber” with “Fire Hands”.

Avery was preceded in death by two of his grandparents, the late Lenwood Snead, Sr. and Theodore Washington, Sr.; one uncle the late Lenwood Snead, Jr.

He leaves to cherish his fond memories: two children, Lauren Middleton of Charleston, SC and Avery Snead, Jr. of Eutawville, SC; his parents Martin Snead, and Cassandra (Steve) Finn; his grandparents, Susan Snead and Virginia Washington; his second mother, Ganaris Smith; his siblings Charisse Snead, Jared Snead, Paige Snead, Nicholas Snead, Darell Smith and Janel Smith; his uncles Lawrence (Penny) Snead, William (Diana) Snead, Lorenzo Snead, Theodore “Ted” Washington, Jr., Clevin (Trudy) Washington, Fredrick (Alice) Washington; one aunt, April Snead; one niece, Nialia Snead; his great uncles and aunts, Jim (Margaret) Washington, James (Ernell) Dingle, Rachel Brown, Doris Alexander, Lillian (Joseph) Riggins, Ann Washington, Louise Washington, Emily (Stanley) Gillens, and Sandra (George) Halls; Victoria Middleton, mother of Lauren Middleton; a special friend, Taneisha Davis, the mother of Avery Snead, Jr. along with her son Ty’Shaun; three best friends, Ryan Williams, Johnathan “Cooley” Greene, and Avery “Boogie” Brown. He also leaves his love to Amiyah Middleton, Lawerence Middleton, and Amiyan Middleton and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
