Mr. Benjamin Lee Stephens, 53, was born on August 18, 1967 in Smoaks, South Carolina. He was the son of Mrs. Louretta Stephens Johnson. On Sunday, February 14, 2021, he peacefully entered eternal rest at the Colleton Medical Center, Walterboro, South Carolina.
Home-Going Service will be held Friday, February 19, 2021 at Faith Church, 846 Bells Highway, Walterboro, South Carolina at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Darryl Hunt Host Pastor, Reverend Floyd W. White, Eulogist. Interment, Lovely Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. A public viewing will be held Thursday, February 18, 2021 at Stephens-Maree-Tracy Funeral Home Chapel of Serenity from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Ben was educated in the public schools of Colleton County and a graduate of Walterboro High School, Walterboro, South Carolina. He was a member of Lovely Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Smoaks, South Carolina.
He was employed by Colleton County Board of Disabilities and Special Needs. Ben enjoyed playing softball and was a fan of all sports.
He will be forever remembered by his parents, a loving and devoted mother, Louretta and father, Kenneth Johnson; his brothers, Mr. Kenny Johnson, Jr., Mr. Tyrone Joe Johnson, Mr. Lamont Johnson, all of Smoaks, South Carolina; his aunts and uncles, Mrs. Eartha (Oscar) Chisom, Mrs. Janet (Johnny) Smalls, Ms. Leatha Stephens, Ms. Juanita Williams, Ms. Patricia Stephens, Mr. Leon (Adlene) Stephens, Mr. Willie (Vonetta) Stephens, all of Smoaks, South Carolina, Mr. Jackie (Lynn) Johnson, of Bluefield, West Virginia; great-aunt, Ms. Nancy Middleton and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
