Betty Loretta Bostic

Ms. Betty Loretta Bostic, also known as “Bet” was born on August 10, 1949, to the late Mr. Edward and Mrs. Hattie Mae Black- Bostic in Colleton County. She was the 3rd of 5 siblings entered eternal life on Thursday, February 3, 2022, at the Regency Hospital of Florence in Florence, South Carolina.

In her youth, Ms. Betty attended the public schools of Colleton County. 

She was employed by the Board of Disability (Day Program) for more than 20 years. She took pride in her job. She would get up early in the morning waiting on the porch for the bus to pick her up.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers Jack Bostic and Edward Bostic, Jr.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories, the apple of her eye, her one and only daughter, Shara Walters (Terry) of Sumter, SC; and four grandkids, Tylin and Peyton Walters  both of Sumter, SC; Taishawn Walters of Newark, New Jersey, Tavon Walters of Columbia, SC; two sisters, Patricia Simmons and Catherine Simmons  both of Smoaks, SC; two uncles, Marshall Bostic(Mary) of Smoaks, SC and Albert Bostic of Wedgefield, SC, two aunts Irene Bostic of Smoaks, SC and Marie Smith of Bamberg, SC; one sister-in-law, Joann Bostic of Smoaks, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Also, her caregivers at the Wilkes House, whom she was very fond of.
