Catherine Salley Hiers

Catherine Salley Hiers, the daughter of the late Mondell and Luella Bryant Salley was born on July 12, 1949. She entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at Colleton Medical Center in Walterboro, South Carolina.

She was educated in the public schools of Colleton County. She worked for Young Wear Plant in Smoaks, South Carolina. Her past time activities were cooking, riding, and a full-time grandmother to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mondell and Luella Bryant Salley; husband, Joe Hiers; one brother, Wendell Salley; one sister, Rebecca Salley and  numerous aunts,  uncles and a special friend Mary Mosley.

Catherine leaves to cherish her precious memories her loving son, Altan Salley (Sharlene); two special grandsons, Branden Simmons, and Mykyng Salley; two special granddaughters, Takashia Salley and Shakeyla Salley; two sisters, Patricia Salley Newton and Janette Salley; one brother, Roy Salley; one uncle, David Bryant; Sisters-in-law, Patricia Salley, and  Shirley Salley; special caregiver, Sonya Salley and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
