Charles Behling

Mr. Charles Behling, son of the late Willie and Fairy Lee Behling was born in Smoaks, South Carolina on February 7, 1945. He entered into eternal rest at Colleton Medical Center on April 29, 2025.

Charles attended Ruffin High School, in Ruffin, South Carolina. He moved to New York City for a few years before returning to South Carolina, where he was employed with Williams Lumber Company. 

Early in life, Charles joined Evergreen Baptist Church. He enjoyed riding his bicycle and talking to people.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Fairy Lee Behling; his siblings, Junior Behling, Harry Behling, Hattie Carter, and Elizabeth Wallace.

He leaves to cherish his memories two sisters, Diane Behling of Padgetts, South Carolina and Linell Lolly (Jerry) of Padgetts, South Carolina; two brothers, Thomas Behling of New York and Roger Behling of New Jersey; one sister-in-law Mary Behling of Williams, South Carolina and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
