Corinthians Williams Obituary

Corinthians D. Williams, known to many as, “Cheese, Sugar, Ant, & Poppa, and Corinth” was born on July 27, 1955, to the late Mr. & Mrs. James and Celeste Smoak Williams. On Wednesday after noon  on March 26, 2025, at 3:15, he heard the call of his Savior, Jesus Christ to come home.

He was educated in the public schools of Colleton County. He graduated from Ruffin High School in 1973,  and Claflin College in 1977,  with a Political Science Degree. He was the property manager for Lincoln Apartments, before being promoted to property management with Druid Hills. He retired in 1988.

He was a member of Deep Creek Baptist Church in Islandton, South Carolina. Joined in Holy Matrimony, Corinthians and Vyonnia Wrice Williams shared a union of love and devotion that was blessed with two wonderful children.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Celeste Smoak Williams; three brothers and two sisters.

Morning his departure, he leaves to cherish fond memories his loving and devoted wife of forty-three years Vyonnia Wrice Williams; one loving daughter, Suquesta (Monte) Dixon of North Charleston, South Carolina; one loving son, Cory C. Williams of Philadelphia; two beautiful grandchildren, Zayden and Zoey Dixon of North Charleston, South Carolina; his siblings, Earlene (Edward) Boles of Greenwood, South Carolina, Orean Stevens of Ruffin, South Carolina, Leroy (Betty) Williams of Smoaks, South Carolina, Selena Williams of Smoaks, South Carolina, Andrew Williams of Islandton, South Carolina, Suquesta (Alfred) Myers of Newport News, Virginia, Randell (Renee) Williams of Ruffin, South Carolina, Bevelyn (Gregory) Mitchell of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Meredith Williams of Greenwood, South Carolina; his sisters-in-law, Linda Williams, Virginia Basham, Shermenia Melton Mears, and Monalisa Rivers; Brothers-in-law, Donald L. Wrice, Clayso Wrice, Lorenzo Wrice and Tony Mole and a devoted friend, Richard Cundiff, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends and all of my friends who came out to be with us on this day.
