Curtis Walsh Campbell

Curtis Walsh Campbell, better known as “CW”  was born on March 12, 1943, in the  Round O, community of Colleton County, South Carolina, to the late Curtis Purcey and Florie Ford Bouges  Campbell. Curtis was called home to rest peacefully on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Colleton Medical Center Hospital, Walterboro, South Carolina.

“CW” was educated in Colleton County at Colleton Training School (CTS) and Colleton High School (CHS) in Walterboro, South Carolina. Curtis was a beautiful soul. He loved talking, visiting and more so helping people until his health began to fail.

His family bonds left us with many priceless memories that will never be forgotten. Curtis will truly be missed by many.

Curtis was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Hogan Campbell; his parents, Curtis Purcey and Florie Ford Bouges Campbell; two brothers, William L. Bouges and Norman W. Bouges and two sisters, Eva Lou B. Johnson and Naomi B. Gantt.

He leaves to cherish his forever memories are his daughter, Catina P. Campbell of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; grandchildren, Bradley Jr. and Braylan Artis; two great grandchildren, Kyrei and Kamyri Artis of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; two sisters, Etta E. Cockrum and Malinthia C. Bryant of Walterboro, South Carolina; one brother, Windell R. Gantt of Walterboro, South Carolina and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, one special nephew, Robert L. Gantt, other relatives, and friends.
