Rejoicing the life of the legend Elder Henry Leroy Wilson, who was the son of the late Vernon, Queenie Bell Wilson and Jessie Benjamin. He was born in Bishopville, South Carolina on May 13, 1947. He entered into eternal rest on June 12, 2024 at MUSC Health Florence Medical Center in Florence, South Carolina.
Elder Henry Wilson was educated in the public schools of Lee County. He was employed with Mixon Logging for twenty-one years until retirement. He was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to his family and friends.
He accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at an early age. He loved his wife, Judy Wilson, his children, and grandchildren with all his heart. Elder Henry was a family man that never missed any family functions, school functions, or basketball games.
Elder Henry was a Past Master of Luck Now Lodge #324 and Past Patron of Canty Chapter #178.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon, Queenie Bell Wilson and Jessie Benjamin, his siblings, Juanita Arthur, Vernon Wilson, Tom Wilson, Ella Murphy, Harry Wilson, Andrew Benjamin, Jessie Benjamin, Jr., and granddaughter, Le’Asia Givens.
Those left to cherish his memories his wife, Judy G. Wilson of the home; five daughters, Marcella Wilson Davis of Florida, Anderia L. Wilson, Evony S. Wilson, Bonita L. Wilson, Renee (Tony) Givens; one adopted daughter, Ebony (Jackson) Damon, and one bonus daughter Tauisha (Anthony) Reddick; Twenty-four grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; one sister, Ruby (Stonney) Scarborough of Lamar, SC; one brother, Russell (JoAnne) Benjamin of Chicago; one aunt, Lorrine Aaron; three sisters in love, Joyce Greene, Virginia (Bob) Peeler of Forest City, North Carolina and Margaret Wilson of Bishopville, South Carolina and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
