Elizabeth Ann Bingley Poindexter

Elizabeth Ann Bingley Poindexter was born in Round O, South Carolina on May 12, 1941 to the late Ethan W. Bingley and Effie L. Brown Bingley. She entered into eternal rest in the arms of our Lord Jesus Christ on January 25, 2022, at Pruitt Health Care facility in Walterboro, South Carolina.

She was a 1958 graduate of Colleton High School. After graduation, she migrated to New Jersey in search of  better opportunities. After about ten years later, she relocated back home to help Mom and Dad.

She met and married Leonard Poindexter while in New Jersey. To this union a child was born, but did not survive.  After returning home, she joined Wesley Grove United Methodist Church. She was a faithful member and  worker in the church until her health failed.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, Ethan W. Bingley and Effie L. Brown Bingley; her child; sisters, Shirley Ruth Bingley Roberson and Mary F. Bingley Parker; brother, Wilman E. Bingley; nephew, whom she raised and loved as her own son, Michael J. Roberson.

She leaves to cherish her memories her sister, Salley Bingley  (John W.) Mays; brother, George L. (Linda Green) Bingley; nephews, Anthony L. Parker, Stanley (Adrienne) Parker and Nigel Bingley; a great-niece, Alyssa Parker and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
