Ernest McClam, III Obituary

Ernest Junior McClam, III, was born in New York City, on September 27, 1993, to the late Mary Williams Covington, and the late Ernest Junior McClam, II.

He attended Hartsville High School and graduated from Darlington Adult Education Center, where he earned a Certificate as forklift Operator.

Junior loved making people laugh, enjoyed being with family and friends, eating good food and dressing up. On Junior good days he would ride around with his pop’s Mummy collecting junk.

He loved everybody, enjoyed good music, he even did a little DJing himself. He was a happy go lucky person.

Ernest decided to give his life to Christ on July 6, 2025. He made New Bethel Baptist Church his place of worship, along with his daddy’s Mummy, God mothers, Glory Benjamin, Minister Thomasina Lucas , special auntie, Daffney Williams, Rev. Betty Hosten and Special Cousins, Alexander Davis, Travion Grose , Labri Rivers, Stacy Dixon.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Williams Covington and Ernest Junior McClam, II, brother, Anthony Williams and aunt, Ladana Jones.

Ernest leaves to cherish his loving memories, his Dad, Larry Covington of the home; Sallie Williams of New York, Samantha Williams of Philadelphia, PA; three stepsisters, Labri Rivers, Pam Rivers, and Jenifer Thomas; Sister, Apostle, Ada (Salone) Brown; Aunts, Daffney Williams, Nicole Williams of Lydia, SC; uncles, Alexandra Williams of Lydia, SC; James (Latoya) Lucas of Hartsville, SC; Willie Nelson, of Bishopville, SC, ; Harry (Levena) Nelson; Special nephews, Deysean, Venable, Alexander Davis, Pastor Travon Grace of Pittsburg, PA , and Lavar Hosten of New York; special niece, “Barri”, Elder Barry Barrish of PA; Cousins, Victoria Jones, and Lakeyra Jones of Bronx, New York and a host of other relatives and friends
