Evangelist Geraldine Risher, affectionately known to many as "Gerald" was born on May 16, 1951, in Colleton County, to the late Mr. Herbert Risher, Jr. and the late Mrs. Florence Myrtle Lawton Risher, but was raised by Mr. Charles and Minnie Risher after the passing of her parents. She was blessed to have her sister the late Terry Risher to step in as her caregiver along with her sister Apostle Clemustine Linder. On Monday, March 22, 2021, she quietly transitioned from Earth to Glory at Colleton Medical Center in Walterboro, South Carolina.
Home-Going Celebration will be held Saturday, March 27, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Walterboro Christian Center, 320 Robertson Blvd., Walterboro, South Carolina. Ja-Don Buckner, Host Pastor, Prophetess Tina Glover, Eulogist. Interment, Lovely Hill Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Smoaks, South Carolina. A public viewing will be held Friday, March 26, 2021 at Stephens-Maree-Tracy Funeral Home Chapel of Serenity from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Geraldine was educated at Bethel Elementary School in Smoaks, South Carolina and graduated from Ruffin High School in Ruffin, South Carolina.
At an early age, she became a member of Sykes Savannah Methodist Church and later joined Lovely Hill Baptist Church in Smoaks, South Carolina. When her sister, Apostle Clemustine Linder became a pastor, she moved her membership to Prayer Meeting House of Deliverance Center in Harleyville, South Carolina where she received the holy ghost and accepted her calling as an Evangelist. She served faithfully as an usher, prayer warrior, a member of Salvation Choir and the Inspirational Choir.
Geraldine was a loving and dedicated mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She loved to cook, and take care of her nieces, nephews, or any other children who came around. She loved watching TV and her favorite show was "Gun Smoke."
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert Risher, Jr. and Florence Myrtle Lawton Risher; three sisters, Rochelle Risher, Lynn Brown, and Terry Risher; one brother, Henry Lee Risher.
She leaves to cherish her memories, the shining star of her life, her son, Antonio Luke Risher of Atlanta , Georgia; her two grandchildren, Khiana Risher and Jasimine Nicole Risher of Atlanta, Georgia; five sisters, Olivia Williams of Columbia, South Carolina, Annie (Lawrence) Ling of Smoaks, South Carolina, Apostle Clemustine (James) Linder of Smoaks, South Carolina, Doann Mosley of Smoaks, South Carolina, Apostle Ernell Frasier of Ridgeland, South Carolina; one brother, Roma Lee (Janna) Risher of Atlanta, Georgia; nine aunts, Rosa Lawton of Walterboro, South Carolina, Pastor Helen Douglas of Islandton, South Carolina, Margie Lawton of Islandton, South Carolina, Helen Linder of Branchville, South Carolina, Mamie Graham of Texas, Vymel Corbitt of Alabama, Virginia Risher of Atlanta, Georgia, Luella Brown of Ruffin, South Carolina and Betsy Jenkins of Smoaks, South Carolina; two uncles, Thomas Risher of Columbia, South Carolina and Charlie H. Risher of Patterson, New Jersey; a special niece/Goddaughter, Mrs. Brittany Brown of Fayetteville, North Carolina and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
