Florrie Mae Henderson North was born on October 10, 1949, in Smoaks, South Carolina to the proud parents of the late Mr. Sammie Lee Henderson and Mrs. Minnie (Drain) Henderson. She was the 3rd youngest of eleven children. She entered into eternal rest on January 18, 2022, at The Colleton Medical Center in Walterboro, South Carolina.
She graduated from Ruffin High School with the Class of 1968. While at Ruffin High School, she played for the basketball team. She went on to graduate from Jacksonville College. She married her high school sweetheart, Abraham T. North, Sr. and had seven children. She, also, had a love for gardening and decorating. She joined Springtown United Methodist Church as a child.
Florrie Mae was preceded in death by her father, Sammie Lee Henderson; mother, Minnie Drain Henderson; daughter, Erica North, her beloved brothers: Sammie (Junior) Henderson, Jr., Willie Henderson, Daniel Henderson, Grant Henderson; two sisters- in-law, Marie Henderson, and Geraldine Henderson in addition to many maternal and paternal aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Florrie Mae leaves to cherish her loving memory: her Sons, Abraham T. North, Jr., Ryan S. (Alesha) North, and Travis (Ninibibi) North; Daughters, Chastity J. North, Farrah (Chas) Farmer, and Bridgette North; Grandchildren: Corey, Ashlee, Colin, Ryan, Aninibibi, Nicholas, Lounasia, Raven, Tiffany, Trevor, Nikema, Mikal Lawton, and Sentell; Great-Grandchildren: Khyrie, Myles, Milan, and Kaiari; Sisters, Florence Shark of Troy, NY, Flossie (Floyd) Henderson of Middletown, CT, Flourie (Ronnie) Burns of Troy, New York; Brother, Ronnie (Sally) Henderson of Smoaks, SC, one Sister-in-law, Lettie Henderson of Smoaks, South Carolina in addition to many cousins, and other loved ones.
