Ida Mae Wright

Mrs. Ida Mae Wright, the wife of the late Mr. Calvin Wright and the daughter of the late Mr. Sam and the late Mrs. Ida McDuffie, was born on August 29, 1960, in Lee County. Ida entered eternal rest on June 17, 2024, at Carolina Pines Hospital in Hartsville, South Carolina.

Ida Wright was educated in the Lee County Public School system. She enjoyed working and was of great service to her clients at the Board of Disabilities and Special Needs where she was employed for fourteen dedicated years. Ida was affectionately known as “Dee”. She was a loving person with an efficacious smile and helping hand.

Ida was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Wright; a son, Faibein Wright and her four brothers: Robert, Henry, Levi, and Junior Scarborough.

Ida leaves to cherish treasured memories; her loving daughters, Tabitha (Kenneth) Albert and Asia Wright; nine grandchildren; one great- grandchild; five sisters: Virginia Mitchell of Leland, North Carolina, Minnie (Herbet) Bracey, Gloria Melton of Bishopville, South Carolina, Emma (Neil) McLean and Lillie Wright of Patterson, New Jersey; one brother; Isaiah (Charlotte) McDuffie and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
