James Cobbs was born on August 10, 1936 to the late Herbert Cobbs Sr. and the late Goldia Cleckley Cobbs in Orangeburg, South Carolina. God in his omniscient power called our loved one home Thursday, April 1, 2021.
James received his formal education in the schools of Orangeburg County. He accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and joined Mount Calvary Baptist Church where he served as a devoted member of the Male Chorus and the Board of Trustees. He expressed his love for God and his love of others through his interminable service in the church. James, also known as the “Coca Cola Man”, was pleasant and peaceful always being seen with an infectious smile. He worked for the Orangeburg Coca Cola Bottling Company as an Area Salesman for over 30 years prior to his retirement.
James was united in holy matrimony to the Late Eva Mae Cobbs and of this beautiful union two daughters were born, Valeria “Penny” Dash and the late Patricia Kulah.
