James Morgan Moore, Sr.

Mr. James Morgan Moore, Sr., "Jimmy," the son of the late Willie James "Buck" Moore, Sr. and Ella Bingley Moore,  was born on September 22, 1955 in Colleton County. He entered into eternal rest on May 24, 2022 at Trident Medical Center, in N. Charleston, South Carolina.

He  was educated in the public schools of Colleton County. He was employed at SCE&G and J. H. Hiers for many years.

Jimmy was united in holy matrimony to the late Linda B. Moore and to this union, they were blessed with five children.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda B. Moore; his father, Willie James Moore, Sr. and his in-laws, Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Black.

Jimmy leaves to cherish his memories, his loving mother, Ella B. Moore of Walterboro, South Carolina;  five children, Tamika Moore of Charlotte, North Carolina, James M. Moore, Jr. (Janay) of Walterboro, South Carolina, Leonida P. Moore of Walterboro, South Carolina, Patwanda Brown (Shannon) of Havelock, North Carolina and Javan Moore (Kisha) of Charleston, South Carolina; eleven grandchildren, Del'Jante Moore, Zoey Corbett, Saniyah Brown, Shamar Brown, Jaheim Moore, Akasha Moore, Malia Moore, Zamiya Moore, Jayven Moore, Azaria Moore, and King Moore; his siblings, Willie J. Moore, Jr.(Pamela) of Queens, New York, Stanley  S. Moore of Atlanta, Georgia, Cherriean E. Moore of Columbia, South Carolina, and Farena S. Murray (Keiron) of Walterboro, South Carolina; sisters-in-law, Annette Tapia (Robert) of San Francisco, California, Loretta Brown (Sinclair) of Padgetts, South Carolina and Rosemary Black of Savannah, Georgia; brothers-in-law, Sylvester Black (Minnie), Larry Black (Mary) and Andy Black all of Padgetts, South Carolina, James E. Black (Ella) of Columbia, South Carolina and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
