Jayshawn Washington Obituary

Jayshawn Alexander Washington was affectionately known as “Jay” and “Birdman” to his family. Jayshawn, the oldest of five children, was born on January 10, 2003 to Alexander Washington and Eboni Behling Seabrook at Colleton Medical Center in Walterboro, South Carolina. He entered into eternal rest at his place of residence in North Charleston, South Carolina on the evening of June 23, 2024.

Jayshawn was raised in Walterboro, South Carolina. At different points in his life, he moved to West Columbia, South Carolina with his grandma Lessie Bowman and auntie Sherry Behling, in Gaston, South Carolina and Williams, South Carolina before returning to Walterboro, South Carolina during his high school years. Jayshawn was educated and attended public schools in Colleton County School District.  Jayshawn graduated from Colleton County High School in May of 2021. Following high school, Jayshawn left home to briefly attend Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina.

Due to a hardship, Jayshawn moved back home with his parents in Orangeburg, South Carolina for a brief time. Jayshawn then moved to Summerville, South Carolina for a while before moving to his final destination of North Charleston, South Carolina. 

Jay was last employed at Tidal Wave Auto Spa as a sales associate car wash membership. 

Jayshawn was so intelligent, talented, and kind-hearted. He absolutely enjoyed cooking, serving his immediate family and the public, delicious dishes, taking care of his siblings, reading books, especially anime comics, learning about new topics, listening to music, and conversating about different topics. Jayshawn absolutely loved his siblings.

Jayshawn has left his family with a great broken heart that only God can fix and heal.  Jayshawn leaves to cherish his memories; His mother, Eboni Behling (Dawan) Seabrook Stepfather, of Orangeburg South Carolina; his father, Alexander Washington of Cottageville, South Carolina; his siblings: Amari Seabrook, Mikayla Seabrook, Danaisha Seabrook, Destiny Seabrook all of Orangeburg, South Carolina; Grandparents: Lessie Bowman of West Columbia, South Carolina, Eva Washington of Walterboro, South Carolina; Henry Haynes of Cottageville, South Carolina; Aunts: Monica (Shawn) Langley of Dallas, Georgia, Sherry (Daniel) Goff of West Columbia, South Carolina, Paulette Washington of Walterboro, South Carolina, Pebbles Wade of Walterboro, South Carolina and host of great aunts, great uncles, cousins, and friends.
