Johnnie Lee Folger was born on June 9, 1945 to the late Samuel Folger and Bertha Pitts-Drain and the late Woodrow Drain, Sr. who raised him in the home. He departed this life on September 29, 2020 at his residence.
Graveside Service will be held Saturday, October 3, 2020 at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. Reverend Jimmy Washington, Eulogist. A public viewing will be held Friday, October 2, 2020 at Stephens-Maree-Tracy Funeral Home Chapel of Serenity from 4:00 p.m. -7:00 p.m.
Johnnie was educated in the public schools of Colleton County. After finishing high school, he worked faithfully in construction and septic tank service until his health failed. He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Smoaks, South Carolina. Johnny was a social butterfly. He enjoyed being among family and friends. He was loved by all who knew him and will definitely be missed by all.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Folger, Bertha Pitts-Drain, and father, Woodrow Drain, Sr.; four brothers, Woodrow Drain, Jr., James Allen Drain, Lawrence Drain and Isaac Drain; one brother-in-law, Joseph Broughton.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories, two children, son, James Folger (Temika); daughter, Shirley Folger; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; three sisters, Berthell Broughton of Walterboro, South Carolina, Rosa Lee Risher and Rosa Little, both of Smoaks, South Carolina; three brothers, Abraham Drain and Willie Drain (JoAnn) both of Smoaks, South Carolina and Jacob Drain (Mary) of Walterboro; one aunt, Francis Jenkins; a special niece who cared for him during the time of his illness, Patricia Salley and a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
