Mr. Khalil Malik Kelly, Sr. also known as “Man-child,” the son of the late Latonya Shelia Kelly and Marvin Kelly was born on February 23, 1993, in Colleton County. God is too wise to make a mistake and too just to be unkind, sent His angels on July 4, 2021, to bring His child home to His heavenly home.
Khalil attended the Colleton County Public School System. He was employed with ECMD, Inc. of Summerville, South Carolina. He loved his family. He was a gentle giant and a humble young man. Khalil was also known as “One Fat Homie” and “Big Thug Life” for his hit song “Mr. Get Messy.” To know Khalil was to love him.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Latonya Shelia Kelly; a son, Khalil Malik Kelly, Jr.; his grandparents, Matthew Kelly, Jr. and Vera Hodges; his great grandparents, Matthew Kelly, Sr., Mary Kelly, Mary Alice Rush and Hezekiah Rush; a special niece, Ashanti Jenkins and numerous aunts and uncles.
Khalil leaves to cherish his memories, his loving and devoted father, Marvin Kelly; three beautiful daughters, Xzeria Simmons, Shelia Kelly and Khylee Kelly; A beautiful grandmother, Johnnie Mae Kelly; a loving grandfather, Herbert Hodges, Jr.; a devoted brother, Christopher Hodges; three beautiful sisters, Mercedes Hodges, Ayanna Kelly and Jacobia Jackson; special aunts, Channta Kelly and Grace Kelly; special uncle, Tony Cordray; loving nephews, Larry Jenkins, Antwan Elliott and Desi Elliott; beautiful niece, Lanyah Jenkins; special loving cousins, Donnay, Sa’de, Zykenia, Tramone and Grump; special devoted friends, Nose, Knotty, Jalin Ford, Anthony Gethers and Shawn Bouges and a host of other relatives and friends.
