Latashia M. Charles was born June 21, 1983, the daughter of John Charles and Evalina (Lula Mae) Charles, and her loving aunt the late Lillie Mae Wilson helped with her raising. She departed this life on December 5, 2025, at 44 Albert Spear Drive in Sumter, South Carolina.
She attended Lee Central High School and was a graduate with the class of 2001. She was employed by Family Learning Center. She was a member of Barnettesville Baptist Church where she was an usher, choir member, on the kitchen committee, decoration committee and YWA. She was a member of Lady in Charger, bike club, and Grown Folks Buzinezz Steppers as their secretary.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Christine Holmes and Murray Scraborough; maternal grandparents, Harrison Durant, Sr. and Caroline Toney Durant and aunt Lillie Mae Wilson.
Latishia leaves to cherish her memories her father, John Charles of St. Charles and her mom, Evalina (Lula Mae) Charles of Lamar, South Carolina; two brothers, Albert Durant of Bishopville, South Carolina and John (Sherry) Charles of Darlington, South Carolina; one step-brother, Sheldon (Fredrika) Wilson of Sumter, South Carolina; three sisters, Shalonda (Ronnie) Washington, Tamesha (Travis) Plum and Demetra Charles, all of Sumter, South Carolina; one step-sister, Merissa (Andre’) Holmes of Bishopville, South Carolina; one precious God-daughter, Tatana Bradley; two special aunts, Lisa Holmes and Willie Mae Johnson; one special uncle, Leroy Durant; one best friend, Samantha Slater and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
