Mr. Lemuel Pimble, Jr. affectionally known as “Lem Pim” was the second child born to the late Lemuel Cleo Pimble, Sr. and the late Mozell Thomas Pimble in Calhoun County on December 26, 1950. He passed away on July 15, 2022 at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg, South Carolina following a brief illness.
He graduated from Wilkinson High School, Orangeburg, South Carolina, the home of wolverine pride, in 1969. He was employed by Roper, Incorporated for several years.
Lemuel was a member of the Bull Swamp Baptist Church and was baptized by Reverend Malachi Odom at an early age. He was a faithful member and attended services regularly until his health began to fail. His Deacon was Deacon Joerod Breeland.
One of his favorite past times was fishing. He would often invite you to go with him to “look in the water”. He also enjoyed music and dancing. He was a man of repute and had a dignifying aura about him. His personality was that of, if he loved you, then you most times were reproached. He was notorious in showing his love for God and his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his rearing grandparents, Deacon Frank and Viola Fuller Pimble, his parents and his sister, Elnora P. Whetstone.
Lemuel leaves to cherish his precious memories two sisters, Reverend Dorothy P. Waymer and Ms. Wilidean Howell; nieces and nephews, Cherietta (Michael) Corley, Isadore Waymer, Jr. Ronald L. (Sandra) Waymer, Shirley Howell, Yolanda (McAmos) Henries, Hubert Whetstone, Jr., Deidra F. Waymer, Selvyn L. Howell; a very devoted friend Ruby Rump and a host of other loving great nieces and nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
