Lenora Deal-Mcteer Obituary

Lenora Jamison Deal-McTeer, the oldest daughter of the late Deacon Louis Jamison and Evangelist Gertrude Y. Jamison, was born on March 2, 1959 in Colleton County, South Carolina.  She transitioned into eternal rest early on February 22, 2022, at Colleton Medical Center in Walterboro, South Carolina, after a brief illness.

Lenora was raised in Sniders, South Carolina and attended Colleton County Public  schools. She graduated from Ruffin High School with the Class of 1977.  She was formerly married to Louis Deal, Jr., and from that union a son and daughter were born.  She later married Eugene McTeer, Sr., and this union added three bonus children; one son and two daughters.

While raising her children, Lenora expanded her skills as a good mother and cook into providing dependable childcare services to many children in the Walterboro and surrounding areas of Colleton County for over a decade.  She went on to work within the Colleton County School District and later became an experienced private caregiver.

She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at a young age and her gift of giving flowed from natural to spiritual in her walk with God.  She willingly allowed God to use her as an Intercessor and Prayer Warrior and never counted it robbery to shift into prayer or song as she was led by the Spirit of God.  She was a faithful disciple and dedicated member of Eagle Eye International Ministries in Varnville, South Carolina and served on the Usher board.

Along with her parents, Louis and Gertrude Jamison, Lenora was preceded in death by her husband Eugene McTeer, Sr., and a bonus-daughter, Tracy McTeer.

She leaves to cherish her memory, son and daughter, Kevin L. Deal, Sr., Atlanta, GA, and Latoya R. Deal, Walterboro, SC, bonus son and daughter, Eugene McTeer, Jr. and Anesha L. Holmes, Columbia, SC; eleven grandchildren; two sisters, Priscilla (Don) Fell, Walterboro, SC and  Rena (Terry) Gant Cottageville, SC; two brothers, Tim (Tawanna) Jamison, Walterboro, SC, and Donavan Edwards Ruffin, SC; four aunts, Janie Edwards and Mildred Yates, Ruffin, SC, Audrey Delaney and Regina Sanders of Charleston, SC; four uncles: Willis Jamison (Shirley), Bronx, NY, Gerald Lingard, of Ruffin, South Carolina, Hubert Webb (Blondell) and Earl Webb of Charleston, South Carolina; three brothers-in-law, Bishop Elijah McTeer (Delores), James (Juanita) McTeer, Walterboro, SC, and Harry McTeer (Mary), Jacksonville, FL; two sisters-in-law, Janie Singleton, Ritter, SC, and Bernice (James) Gilbert, Reeseville, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
