Levi Dixon Obituary

Levi Dixon, known as “Ski-Bo” and “Wallace,” was born on March 22, 1946, in Lee County. He was the oldest and the most spoiled, son of Rosa Lou Dixon Mack. It is with heavy hearts and sadness of the passing of Levi. He answered the call from our heavenly father and transitioned from this world on September 19, 2025, after a long illness and suffering. He fought a long hard fight to stay with his family, but God saw that he was getting tired and plucked his wings and whispered, “Well Done.” His memories will forever be in our hearts as we cherish the moments we shared with Levi. Hearts are heavy and tears may be shed, but Levi is at peace now, no more discomfort or pain. He has won the fight and his memories will remain with us forever. His infectious joy, spirit and demeanor made every event memorable because he brought laughter, love and excitement to both good and challenging situations. It was his very essence to endure him to all that knew him. Levi was loved by many and the love that he had for his family and friends was unconditional.

He attended the public schools of Lee County.

He was preceded in death by his mother Rosa L. Mack; his wife Betty Lou Dixon; a daughter, Jeaneatha Dixon, a granddaughter, Jennifer Dixon; a son, Donald Dixon; two sisters, Daisy Mae Dixon and Lula Mae Mack.

Levi’s legacy lives on through his beloved daughter Tammy Dixon; a treasurer of grandchildren and great grandchildren; along with his loving devoted siblings, Mae Boyd, Betty Mack, Louvenia Mack, Rose McDaniel, Levern Mack, Louis Mack, and James Dixon; nieces and nephews; a special niece, Tia Coe, who was his caregiver and a host of other relatives and friends.

Levi truly loved his family. His memories will be forever in our hearts as we cherish the memories that we share and the  love graciously given. Levi “Ski-Bo” will be profoundly missed but the spirit and the joy he brought to our lives will remain with us.
