Mack Jordan, Jr. Obituary

Mr. Mack Mckenley Jordan, Jr., affectionately known as "Slow Motion" was born on January 16, 1966, in Colleton County. He was the son of the late Mack Jordan, Sr. and the late Sadie Mae Jordan. Mack traded time for eternity and departed from this earthly life on Friday, July 1, 2022 at MUSC Hospital in Charleston, South Carolina.

He was educated in the public school system of Colleton County. He graduated from Ruffin High School with the class of 1984.

At an early age, He became a member of the Greater Mt. Olive AME Church in Smoaks, South Carolina. He was an active member until he passed away. We thank God and take comfort in knowing that Mack did receive Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior before leaving this earth.

Mack was very active in his community and others looked to him for assistance and guidance. He loved the youth in the community. He created the Jordan Youth Foundation and he did various types of fund-raisers to get the funds needed for the "Trunk or Treat" every year, which was a blessing to the young people. Mack touched many lives within his community and being there for various individuals who needed assistance in their personal lives as well as cooking, cleaning, and running errands for those less fortunate. Mack loved the family gatherings. He would do most of the cooking and everyone loved his cooking. He was someone who had the qualities of being a servant to the people and many will miss him and remember how awesome he was when it came to helping those who were in need.

Mack was preceded in death by his parents, Mack Jordan, Sr. and Sadie Mae Jordan.

He leaves to cherish his memories his four sisters, Daisy J. Boyd-Guinyard of Walterboro, South Carolina, Ruthie Cannon-Smalls (Donald Sr.), Dorothy Cochran and Denise Jordan all of Smoaks, South Carolina; one aunt, Rosa Lee Williams of Smoaks, South Carolina; two great aunts, Redell Stokes Fields of Walterboro, South Carolina and Francis Jenkins of Smoaks, South Carolina; four nieces, Latoya Boyd, Jacquetta Cannon, Valerie Scriven and Latasha Riley; five nephews, Donald Smalls, Jr., James Cochran, Jr., Jermaine Cochran, Tevernicus Mack, and Tevon Mack; ten great nieces and eight great nephews; a special friend, Russell Jenkins of Smoaks, South Carolina and a host of other relatives and caring friends.
