Maggie Rogers Obituary

And God shall wipe away all the tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be anymore pain”

-Revelation 21:4

On occasions like this, it’s hard to put into words the deep feeling we have had for one who was beloved by all who knew her. Today, we have stopped our regular work to pay tribute to Ms. Maggie Mae Slater Rogers. She had no fear, for she knew her Lord so well and knew that He would take care of her all the way. What power our Lord has in time of trouble, and how wonderful it is to lean on him when there is no one else who understands how deep is our grief.

A Time to be Born

Ms. Maggie Mae Slater Rogers entered this world on May 5, 1952 in Bishopville, SC to proud parents the late Vermelle Simon Wilson and the late Edmond Slater.

A Time to Grow

Maggie was reared with the support of a loving family in Bishopville, SC. She received her education in the public schools of Lee County and she attended Sumter Technical College.

A Time to Love

On April 28, 1979 Ms. Maggie Mae Slater and Mr. Willie James Rogers were united in holy matrimony in Bishopville, SC. To this union three delightful and loving children were born.

A Time to Worship

Being reared in a Christian home environment, Maggie realized the need of a personal Savior and joined Saint Mark Missionary Baptist Church.

A Time to Die

Maggie departed her earthly life on Monday, October 7, 2024 at home. She entered the mansion that was prepared for her many years ago.
