Marie Doris Mole, 84, was born on July 3, 1940, in Islandton, South Carolina . She was the daughter of the late Marion Percy Robinson and Mae Williams Robinson. She peacefully passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2025, at her daughter’s residence, surrounded by her children and sisters. She remained a resident of Islandton, South Carolina, throughout her life,
She was joined in matrimony to the late Harry Mole. Their union resulted in three children: daughter, Avis and sons, Oscar and Vondez.
Doris Mole was a devout Christian and a committed member of Deep Creek Missionary Baptist Church, Having accepted Christianity at a young age.
She graduated from Colleton County Public Schools and was honored with the title of Ruffin High for graduating class of 1958.
Doris Mole was a diligent and dedicated employee. She served as a weaver at J.P. Stevens for a decade and subsequently as a packer at Dayco Inc. for twenty-five years.
She was a loving wife to her late husband, and an affectionate mother to her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Mole; her brothers, Edward and Charles and her sister, Owilender McQuire.
Marie Doris Mole is survived by her daughter, Avis Moultrie; two sons, Harry (Shirley) Mole and Vondez Mole; God-daughter, Altovis (James) Gamble; five sisters, Ellen Capers, Ivy Oris Buckner, Margie Fennell (James), Gennett Youmans, Ruthie Mae Williams, and Barbara (Isaiah) Doctor; seven grandchildren; Christine Wilson (Vincent), Nicholas (Candance), Devin, Jared, Jordan, Dezmond, and Davon; four great-grandchildren, Alyanna, Nicholas, Aubrei, and Nasir; and sister-in-law, Ruth Robinson.
