Marion Pearson, born in Sumter, South Carolina on September 19, 1965 to the late William Pearson and Frances Jackson Pearson, departed this life on September 9, 2020 with his loving wife by his side.
Graveside Service Honoring the Life of Marion will be held Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at Bishop W.T. English Memorial Park at 1:00 p.m., Minister Ernest Legette, Eulogist. A public viewing will be held Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at Ephriam D. Stephens Funeral Home Chapel from 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

A 1983 graduate of Sumter High School, Pearson went on to receive several certifications in Manufacturing and Engineering Technology from Central Carolina, Sumter, SC. In 1987, he wed Connie James Pearson and their union produced five children. At an early age, he joined Greater St. Paul Non-Denominational Church under the pastorship of the late Bishop W. T. English, where he was baptized. He served faithfully in many capacities including serving on the Usher Board, the Brotherhood Chorus, the GSP Gospel Choir, the B.E.E.A. Crusade Choir, the Outreach Committee, and the Combined Choir of Greater St. Paul. As an entrepreneur, he operated under his own licensed business, MP’s Services. You could find him installing and repairing many things at the church and on church property, as well as throughout the Sumter community and surrounding cities until his earthly departure.
Mr. Pearson leaves to cherish his wife of thirty-three years Connie Pearson; his children - Quindra Pearson, Marion “Mario” Pearson, Jr., Deirdra Pearson, Marvin Pearson, and Camara Pearson; his grandchildren - Morgan Pearson, Jonathan Pearson, Madison Pearson, Keziah Pearson, Lauree Pearson, Princine Pearson, and Kyri Pearson; his siblings - Yvonne Matthews, Wanda Conyers, Freddie McShan, Robert McShan, William Pearson, Greggory Pearson, and Tyrone Pearson; a spiritual father-figure, Charles Blake; a special nephew he treated like a son, Theo McShan; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and loved ones.
Pearson was preceded in death by his father, William Pearson; siblings Michelle Gamble, Ozell McShan and Brenda McShan.
