Mary Sue Windom

Mary Sue Windom, lovingly remembered for her vibrant spirit and joyful heart, was born on November 10, 1960, in Tallahassee, Florida, to the late Cleveland and Lottie Windom.She passed away on May 21, 2026 at HCA Colleton Healthcare Center in Walterboro, South Carolina.

Mary attended the public schools in Tallahassee, Florida before eventually making Walterboro, South Carolina, the community she proudly called home. She was known as a true free spirit — the kind of person who could light up a room with her laughter, music, and energy. Mary loved life and embraced it fully. She enjoyed singing, dancing, and being surrounded by family and friends. To know Mary was to know warmth, humor, and an unforgettable personality.

She worked faithfully at the Radisson Hotel in Summerville, South Carolina, until her health began to decline. Even during difficult times, Mary maintained her strength, resilience, and love for the people around her.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Cleveland and Lottie Windom; her great grandson Jayden Windom; her sister, Joyce Roberts; and her beloved brother, Charles Windom.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories through her devoted lifelong partner, Bobby Glover; her children, Tyesha Hatley (Tim), Latasha Windom, and KeadrickWindom; her six grandchildren, Tavaris Windom, Cissy Corbett, Kristina Windom, Aliyah Scott, Alasia Pringle, and KeayonnaWindom; and her treasured great-grandchildren, London Wilson, Bre’nea Doyle, Karter Grant, Ryann Corbett and Deliah Filmore, and Emani and Serenity Venning. She also leaves to cherish her memories, her sisters Martha Martin (Carroll) and Eunice Windom and a host of extended family members, friends, and members of the Walterboro community who loved her dearly and will forever remember her joyful spirit and loving heart.

Though her voice may now be silent, the music, laughter, and love she shared will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
