Ella Victoria Williams was born on May 4, 1925, in Ashepoo, South Carolina, to the late John Middleton and Nancy White Middleton. She departed this life on October 2, 2022 at Pruitt Health Care Facility in Walterboro, South Carolina.
She was married to the late Wilbur Williams, Sr. in 1942. From this union, four children were conceived.
Ella was educated in the public school district of Colleton County, Walterboro, South Carolina. She was employed at Bogoslow's Shoe Store, Benjamin's Glamour Shop, and Novit's Fashion Shoppe, all located in Walterboro, South Carolina.
She enjoyed cooking, crocheting and playing the card game, pokeno. She loved traveling, especially to destinations out of the state of South Carolina. She loved socializing with her friends at the Colleton County Council on Aging and Tucker's Adult Health Daycare Center.
Ella was a devoted and dedicated member of Hopewell Presbyterian Church in Walterboro, South Carolina. She began her Presbyterian Pilgrimage at the age of five, where she remained supportive and faithful until her departure. She served her church as a Sunday School Teacher, an Elder, a Deacon and Chaplin for the Presbyterian Women.
She was a proud member of the Pride of Walterboro, Chapter No. 189 Order of Eastern Star, of Walterboro, South Carolina.
Ella was preceded in death by her parents, John and Nancy White Middleton; her husband, Wilbur Williams, Sr.; her son, Wilbur Williams, Jr.; her loving sister, Lucille Gelzer and brother, Elliott Middleton.
