Mr. Joe Johnson

Joe Johnson, the son of Solomon Johnson and Hattie Newman Johnson was born on May 13, 1949, in Hartsville, South Carolina. He departed his earthly life on January 2, 2024, at Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center in Hartsville, South Carolina.

He attended the Lee County Public School  System. After retiring he enjoyed sitting at the Refuel Station and he loved racing.

At an early age, he attended Mount Beulah United Methodist Church.

Joe was preceded in death by Michael Johnson, Dorothy Johnson Hough, and Johnny Lee Muldrow.

Joe leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Elease Johnson; his children, Jamie (Carol) Muldrow, Joanne Johnson, Tony Muldrow, Victoria Johnson, Robert Lighty and Patrick Holloman; grandchildren, LaQuan Johnson, Floyd Stewart, Christopher Stewart, Alisha Stewart, Cathy Marshall, Javon Muldrow, Stephon Muldrow, Jordan Muldrow, Tyreses and Tyia; great-grandchildren, Trequan, Aalyiah, Brycen, Chase, Kamryn, Loyal, Cre, Draco, and Jamieve; Siblings, Gerthine Wright, Jimmy Johnson (Jessie Mae), Calvin Johnson, James Johnson (Lisa), Grace Cooper, Charlie Coe, Nancy Coe, and Betty McCall; special niece and nephew-in-law, Brittany Wright and David Wright; special friends from the Markette 27 that took good care of him and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and devoted friends whom he loved.
