Nolan Arthur Thomas, Jr.

Nolan Arthur Thomas, Jr. affectionately known as “Nat,” passed away early on Monday, January 13, 2025, just weeks before his 81st birthday. 

Nat enjoyed a successful career as a car salesman, where his engaging personality and charm endeared him to many. A true lover of life, he relished the beach, adored shag music, and had a passion for fast cars. His charisma and zest for living made him a memorable figure in the lives of those who knew him.

In honor of Nat’s life, a celebration will be held this spring on Folly Beach, a location that held special meaning for him. Details regarding the April event will be communicated to family and friends, on this website, as the date approaches. Nat will be missed, but his vibrant spirit and love for life will be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to have known him.

Nat leaves behind four children: three daughters, Sedra Jean Thomas Charap, Michelle Lea Shamblin, and Audra Faith Thomas; and one son, Nolan Arthur Thomas III, affectionately known as Trae. He was also the proud grandfather of eight grandchildren and cherished great-grandfather to his great-grandchildren.
