Patrick O'Neal Stephens was born on July 18, 1967 in Colleton County, to the late William Henry Stephens, Sr. and his two daughters, Lachelle Stephens of Charleston, South Carolina, LaRhonda Stephens of Greenpond, South Carolina; Shaniqua Martin, who was raised in the home ; two grandchildren, Devin Smith of Charleston, South Carolina and Nyla Baker of Greenpond, South Carolina; Patricia Ann Gatling Stephens. He entered into eternal rest on Monday, July 20, 2020 at Colleton Medical Center in Walterboro, South Carolina.
Home-Going Celebration Honoring Patrick's Life will be held Sunday, July 26, 2020 at Walterboro Christian Center, 320 Robertson Blvd. Walterboro, South Carolina at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Jadon Buckner, Host Pastor and Reverend Reverdy C. Capers, Sr. Eulogist. Interment, Old Miss Cemetery. A public viewing will be held Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Stephens-Maree-Tracy Funeral Home Chapel of Serenity from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Patrick attended the Public Schools of Colleton County and graduated from Ruffin High School in Ruffin, South Carolina.
He joined Lovely Hill Missionary Baptist Church at an early age.
He loved fishing and spoiling his grandchildren, especially, Devin. Patrick was a people's person, well-known and well-loved, by everyone, wherever he went. He never met a stranger. He was very strong-willed and determined to enjoy the quality of life in spite of everything he went through. He didn't let anything hold him down.
Patrick was preceded in death by his father, William Henry Stephens, Sr.; brother, William Henry Stephens, Jr.; his paternal grandparents, Henry and Elizabeth Stephens; maternal grandparents, Bernice Simmons and Mills Boone; aunts, Retha Bell Davis, Haveline Stephens Linder, Christine Stephens Kelly, Diane Stephens, Lizzie Lou Stephens, Patricia (Monk) Stephens, Carolina Stephens, Shelia Simmons, and Gracie Simmons; uncles, Julius Stephens and Roosevelt Williams; and a host of great aunts and uncles.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories, his beloved mother, Patricia Ann Gattling Stephens of Smoaks, South Carolina; his two daughters, Lachelle Stephens of Charleston, South Carolina, LaRhonda Stephens of Greenpond, South Carolina; Shaniqua Martin, who was raised in the home ; two grandchildren, Devin Smith of Charleston, South Carolina and Nyla Baker of Greenpond, South Carolina; siblings, Tony Stephens of Walterboro, South Carolina, Cathie Linder (Robert) of Smoaks, South Carolina, Rochelle Stephens of Charleston, South Carolina, Reverend Dr. Ephriam D.
