Ralph Bellamy Smalls was born to the late Lillie Mae and Leroy Smalls on February 18, 1956 in Jacksonboro, South Carolina where he attended the public schools of Colleton County. On Monday, September 29, 2025, Ralph traded his earthly life for eternity.
In earlier parts of his life he was employed with Hay Tire, he worked there for years before his accident occurred in the winter of 1981. The accident left him paralyzed, that didn’t stop him from doing all the things he loved. Ralph loved planting gardens, working on lawn mowers but in reality he was a jack of all trades because if you named it, he did it. Evening teaching his brother how to work on lawn mowers. Ralph was a fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and he loved Walmart. Ralph was very independent, and wanted to do everything on his own. Even when his health began to decline he never complained and still tried to do everything. Ralph didn’t have any kids but loved, taught, and disciplined all of his family as his own.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lillie Mae and Leroy Smalls; two brothers, Stanley Smalls “Ronnie”,Willie Smalls “Boy-O”, one Niece, Lillie Mae Sawyer; nephew, Vincent Smalls; brother-in-law, Nathaniel Bright; two best friends, Wilmer Mitchell “Junie” and Calvin Holmes.
