Obituary

Rasheen Shamol Bryant, affectionately known as "Lil Pork Chop" and "Rock", was born September 27, 1972. He was the son of Harold and Olga Bryant. Staying true to his self, Rasheen quietly entered eternal rest on February 4, 2023, at home with his loving parents. Rasheen grew up in Smoaks, South Carolina. He was a member of the Ruffin High School class of 1990 and continued his education at South Carolina State University. He became a member of Lovely Hill Missionary Baptist Church as a young child.

Rasheen had two passions, football and carpentry. He played football in high school and in the surrounding community. His favorite football team was the Philadelphia Eagles. From the time he could hold a hammer in his hand he became the shadow of his grandfather, Vernon "Pork Chop” Jenkins, who taught him to master the art of carpentry. Upon leaving college Rasheen decided to use the entrepreneurial skills he picked up from his grandfather and ventured into a career in carpentry, as an independent contractor, becoming "Lil Pork Chop". Serving the community as the Cook-Out King, Rasheen made an impact throughout the Smoaks community. He was well known as the "JACK OF ALL TRADES".

Rasheen was proceeded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents Isaiah and Miriam E. Bryant, and Vernon and Griselda Jenkins, respectively. One Uncle Isaiah Bryant, Jr.

A lifetime of memories will forever be held by his loving parents, Harold and Olga Bryant of Smoaks, SC; one daughter, Raven (Travis) Allen of Norfork, VA; three sons, Deviere "DJ" (Dalvin) Garvin-Lephere of Atlanta, GA, Drekwon "Dre" Bryant of Atlanta, GA and Rhakiel Bryant of Hardeeville, SC; one grandson, Andre Bryant of Atlanta, GA; two brothers, Damon (Renee) Bryant of Washington, DC, Harold Bryant of Jacksonville, FL, and one sister Sade (Marcus) Felder of Columbia, SC; his Godmother Karen (Evans) Boyd and God sister Tamesha Jenkins of Savannah, GA; a special Aunt Leslie (Lewis) McCoy-Salley of Smoaks, SC, and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends.
