Rebecca Beatrice (Chisolm) Williams

Rebecca Beatrice Williams, 84, was born on July 15, 1937 to the late Joseph Chisolm and Minnie Brown Chisolm. She fell asleep in death on December 10, 2021 at her home.

She was educated in Colleton County Public Schools and graduated from Colleton High School, Class of 1956. Later, she attended Denmark Technical College in the pursuit of becoming a Cosmetologist.

Rebecca was united in marriage to the late Herbert Williams right out of high school. They had a happy union for over fifty-eight  years.

She worked hard throughout the years on many, many jobs, but finally finding the one she loved, Colleton County  School Lunchroom Cook,  where she retired from the Colleton County School District after twenty-eight years.

Rebecca dedicated her life to Jehovah and was baptized May 23, 1964. She devoted countless hours in the Christian ministry preaching about God's Kingdom throughout Colleton County. She truly loved her family and she loved people.

 Rebecca  leaves to cherish her memory her children, Lawrence (Eileen) Williams, Ruth Williams Singleton, Mark Williams, Jonathan (Lydia) Williams, James (Sybil) Williams, Hannah Williams Hampleton; eighteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; special family members, Irene Portee, who was like a daughter, Earnestine Coleman, who was like a sister and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Rebecca will be missed by all.
