Rejeena Washington, a cherished daughter, mother, sister, niece, cousin, and friend, was born on June 13, 1979, in Beaufort, South Carolina, to Alily H. Washington and the late George Washington Sr. On September 2, 2025, she peacefully entered eternal rest, leaving a legacy of love, faith, and kindness that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
Raised in Walterboro, South Carolina, Rejeena attended Walterboro High School, where she graduated with the Class of 1997. From an early age, her life was deeply rooted in faith. She was baptized and raised in St. James the Greater Catholic Church, where she developed her devotion to the Lord. Her faith and family remained at the center of her life’s journey.
Education was among Rejeena’s proudest achievements. Determined to excel, she earned her Associate’s Degree in Business Administration from Georgia Perimeter College in 2011 and later obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration/Computer Information Systems in 2013. These accomplishments reflected her dedication, perseverance, and commitment to growth.
Professionally, Rejeena was known for her dedication and service to others. She worked as a Claims Adjuster with GEICO, a Benefits Specialist with ION, and most recently, as a Gate Agent with Delta Airlines. In every role, she was admired for her professionalism, warmth, and compassion. Her coworkers, as well as the countless people she assisted, often became extended family.
Beyond her career, Rejeena enjoyed life’s simple joys. She had a passion for cooking, crafting, couponing, and traveling. She shared her talents generously, creating comforting meals, thoughtful handmade creations, and joyful experiences for those she loved. Her adventures in travel allowed her to see the world, meet new people, and create treasured memories that will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
Rejeena’s greatest joy in life was her beloved daughter, Kaelyn Graham (Donovan). Their bond was unbreakable, and her love as a mother was evident in all she did. She worked tirelessly to provide for Kaelyn, to nurture her, and to ensure she knew the depth of her mother’s love. Rejeena was also a devoted daughter to her mother, Alily, and a supportive sister, aunt, and friend whose presence touched countless lives.
She was preceded in death by her father, George Washington Sr.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving daughter Kaelyn Graham (Donovan); her devoted mother Alily H. Washington; her siblings Trudy Kennedy, Marvin Lloyd (May), Arthena J. Caston (Virous), and George L. Washington; her nieces and nephews Amber Kennedy, Brittani Caston-Mitchell (Jarvis), Brantley Washington, Brianna Caston-Burckhard (Zach), and Tyrese Nadeau; her special friend Olusegun Johnson; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, colleagues, and friends.
Rejeena’s life was a shining example of perseverance, compassion, and faith. She met challenges with grace, celebrated triumphs with humility, and shared love abundantly with everyone she encountered. Her radiant smile, giving spirit, and unwavering devotion to her family and faith will remain an inspiration to all.
Though she has departed this earthly life, her memory will remain alive in the hearts of her family and friends. We are comforted knowing that she is reunited with her father and rests in the arms of her Heavenly Father, embraced by eternal peace.
