Mrs. Rosa Lee Drain Risher, affectionately known as "Nootgal," the daughter of the late Woodrow and Conell Drain was born on April 7, 1941 in Walterboro, South Carolina. On February 14, 2021, she was called into her eternal home.
Rosa Lee received her education through the public school system of Colleton County. She worked at a sewing plant in Smoaks, South Carolina, Colleton County Schools and was a very lovely caregiver until her health started to fail.
She accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior. She attended the Lovely Hill Missionary Baptist Church of Smoaks, South Carolina under the leadership of Bishop Floyd White. Rosa Lee was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister and friend.
Rosa Lee Drain-Risher was married to the late Alexander Risher on February 24, 1960.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alexander Risher; two daughters, Geneva A. Risher Owens and Barbara A. Risher; one son, Sidney A. Risher; five brothers, Isaac, Lawrence, James Allen, Woodrow Drain, Jr. and Johnnie Folger; four brothers-in-law, and four sisters-in-law.
Those left to cherish her memories are her sons, Jerome (Linda) Risher of Smoaks, South Carolina, Alexander (Anita) Risher of Irmo, South Carolina and Antonio (Ashia) Risher of Summerville, South Carolina; one daughter, Lynette (Harold) Mack of Smoaks, South Carolina; sixteen grands, four grands was raised in the home as her own, and one great-grand, Harold, Geneva, Shadarea Mack, Keandre Williams and Shi'kel Washington; sixteen great-grands; one daughter-in-law, Cassandra Risher of Smoaks, South Carolina; brothers, Jake (Mary) Drain of Walterboro, South Carolina, Abraham Drain, Willie (Joann) Drain of Smoaks, South Carolina; Sisters, Berthell Broughton of Walterboro, South Carolina and Rosa Lee Little of Smoaks, South Carolina; two sisters-in-law, Arlene Drain of Hampton, South Carolina and Leola Drain of New York; one aunt, Francis Jenkins of Smoaks, South Carolina; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
