Rosa Stephens was gifted to the late Mr. Julius Stephens and the late Mrs. Carrie Lena Stephens. On September 17, 2021, she slipped away in the night without a whisper or sound at Colleton Medical Center in Walterboro, South Carolina.
She was affectionately known as "Cookie," "Lolo," or "Rosa Parks," by family and friends. She attended the Public Schools of Colleton County. Cookie enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, family and playing cards.
Cookie was proceeded in death by her sisters, Lucille Stephens and Janet Stephens; and a nephew, Blake Stephens.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her children Danny Stephens of Columbia, South Carolina, Tammy Stephens of Bamberg, South Carolina, Dexter Stephens of Branchville, South Carolina and Tykemia Stephens of Orangeburg, South Carolina; eleven grandchildren, Abeiyanna Anderson, Deasia Stephens, Thurl Anderson, Tymaurie Summers, Tashira Stephens, Amiracle Anderson, Zaniyah Gaddis, Ariyah Stephens, Landon Bamberg, Askari Summers, Brayton Bamberg; two brothers, Jerry Stephens of Orangeburg, South Carolina and Curtis Stephens of Smoaks, South Carolina; a close cousin, Betty Stephens; a special aunt, Janet Stephens, a special niece, Sandra Stephens; a close friend, Ella George ; a special friend, Maurice Johnson and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
