Willie Junior Benjamin

Mr. Willie Junior Benjamin was born on October 22, 1963 in Rowesville, SC to the late Freddie Lee "Sonny" Benjamin and Gladys Gilyard Benjamin. Willie entered into eternal rest on Saturday, September 7, 2024. 

At an early age, he joined Prospect United Methodist Church and sang in the choir. He attended Branchville High School where he played some football and basketball.

Willie was a man of adventure. He enjoyed racing cars, fishing and being outdoors. He always had something funny to say. Willie was a protector of his family and a provider for those he loved. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and he also had a special love for fried chicken. 

Willie was preceded in death by his mother Gladys Gilyard Benjamin and father Freddie Lee "Sonny" Benjamin.

He leaves to cherish fond memories: his wife Lavenia Benjamin, three sisters, Louise Gilyard and Elease (Joseph) Dantzler both of Orangeburg, SC, Deloris (Herman) Bookard of Bowman, SC, two brothers Calvin (Sonya) Benjamin of Summerville, SC and Robert (Cheryl) Benjamin of Orangeburg, SC and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends whom he loved dearly.
