Mr. Willie Jerome Stokes, AKA, "Pnut," was born on April 30, 1982 in Colleton County. He was the son of the late Willie Linder, Jr. and Mrs. Ruth Ann Stokes Linder. He answered the Master's call on Monday, April 13, 2020 in Smoaks, South Carolina. Graveside Service will be held Friday, April 24, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery, 1986 Beulah Road, Smoaks, South Carolina. Rev. J.C. Sistrunk, Pastor and Eulogist. A public viewing will be held Thursday, April 23, 2020 at Stephens-Maree-Tracy Funeral Home Chapel of Serenity from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Willie, "Pnut" Stokes attended the public schools of Colleton County, Ruffin High School, where he was a member of the JV football team. He was strongly in love with being an artist.He was a member of Beulah Baptist Church. He was employed by Warren-Griffin Lumber Company in Williams, South Carolina for seventeen years.His hobbies included playing basketball, video games, shooting pool and listening to music. Whenever, you met him, he always had a smile on his face. He was engaged to Ms. Cierra Williams of Colleton County.
He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Linder, Jr., a brother, Craig L. Stokes-Mosley and a sister, Sheron Stokes.
He leaves to cherish his memories a loving mother, Mrs. Ruthann S. Linder; brothers, Willard J. Stokes (Shamitra), Sharrell Drain and Willie D. (Kendra) Simmons, all of Smoaks, South Carolina; grandmother, Clara M. Jordan of Smoaks, South Carolina; grandfather, Charlie Meynard, Jr. of New Rochelle, New York; twenty- two aunts; fourteen uncles; five nieces; four nephews; special friends, Marcus Williams, Joseph Griffin, Zaquan Corbett, Dwayne Fryar, Travis Bryant; his highway 217 friends and a host of other relatives and friends
