Mr. Willis Dobison, the son of Deacon Willie James Dobison and Deaconess Annie Mae Dobison. He was born on March 26, 1971, in Brooklyn, New York.He transitioned this life on Thursday, June 10, 2021.
Willis attended the public schools of Brooklyn, New York. It was during this time when he met his High School sweetheart, Miss Tarah Nichole Jeter, affectionately known as “Puka”.
Not long after graduating from High School, Willis and Tarah moved to South Carolina. They were united in Holy Matrimony on November 6, 1993.They were blessed with two children, Ashira Dechelle Dobison and Willis Deion Dobison.
Willis was a devoted son, dedicated husband, doting father, affectionate brother, caring poppa and a loving uncle and great uncle. The family will forever cherish the great memories of this close-knit family. For those who knew Willis, they knew his love for his motorcycle club “2 Tha Limit”, Hunting, Umpiring, Grilling and most importantly his love for God. He often spoke of his faith and love for God. Willis was a devoted member of Springtown United Methodist Church, Smoaks, South Carolina. Attending Springtown UMC and assisting with the sound system, was a great joy as he faithfully worshipped God and fellowshipped with family and friends.
Willis leaves to cherish his memories: his father, Willie Dobison, his mother,Annie Dobison; his loving and devoted wife, of 27 years, Tarah Dobison; his father-in-law, Robert Hodge (Cynthia); his mother-in law, Angela Vasquez (Miguel); his daughter, Ashira Dobison; his son, Willis Dobison; one granddaughter,Olivia Belcher; one sister, Arlene Dobison; two nephsons, Anthony Williams (Tamia); Tyler Williams; three great nephews, Princeston Williams, Micah Kelly Williams, and Anthony Williams, Jr.; one great niece, Grace Williams; four brothers-in-law, Omar Jeter, Terrance Hodge, Jason Hodge, Robert Hodge; one sister-in-law, Vanessa Hodge; special son, Donovan Campbell; special “friend -in-love”, Tabria Cochran; special niece; Yasmeen Mighty; special brother Sam Watson; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, all of whom will miss him dearly.
